Professional people have the issue of personal time available to put towards the décor of their home, and require significant assistance. While those who have the time, may need minor guidance and assistance with specific projects. A Design Consultant can sculpt a specific program suited to a Client’s needs to achieve their decor objectives on a timely basis.
The Décor Consulting meeting :
Weather meeting a specific decor need, or meeting multi needs, an initial visit in our Studio with a design Consultant prior to a Home Visit is required. This project meeting will determine scope, references, timing, and pricing. When preparing for a meeting we encourage our Clients to bring ideas, photos, clippings from magazines, fabric swatches or any other information that they would like to communicate with regards to their project goal. Karen and the Design Consultants work closely with our clients to blend the best decorative choices with our Client’s needs and desires. The result is a beautiful home that reflects the unique personality of the homeowner.
Accessorizing Home Consultation
The perfect fine art piece, art glass, or a console added to an already beautiful home can transform the daily living experience in that room or home. The right arrangement of existing pieces or the addition of significant selections only enhance the overall view and enjoyment of the home experience.
Soft Décor Consultation
Fabric selections are critical from an emotional and financial position. Window treatments, upholstery, pillows, slipcovers, duvets, and more, are all “long term” commitments. Fabric choices should draw a room or home totally together and either excite or relax the senses. The gathering process of fabric options for Client selection takes a great deal of talent, and time investment in order to bring the perfect mix of design, color, weight, and texture for long term performance and satisfaction.
Color Consultation
The most requested Home Décor Consultation is for Color. Choosing a Color theme for the home is an enormous commitment for any homeowner with so many factors to consider. The basic style and structure of the home, the lighting from room to room, current décor pieces and accessories, the resale of the home, and the homeowner’s perspective of what “feeling” they want to have when entering their home or a particular room, all of these and more must be weighed in the decision for something that we are surrounded by on a daily basis.
Fine Art Commissions & Artistic Consultations
There is nothing that can personalize a home like art and color. They are the universal language that stimulates emotions, creates atmosphere, and can have the ability to influence moods. Of all the decorative tools, there is nothing quite like color and the discovery of one’s personal palette that when surrounded by those shades can evoke a feeling of serenity and joy. ----- Karen creates art; whether a multi-layered wall treatment or a mural or an oil painting, her talent is to listen to a Client’s needs and wants for a particular project, then translate that verbal conversation into colors and textures that are unique to that Client. Her goal is to build a picture of what a Client responds to intuitively and to discover other influences that inspire.
